A warm circle of stories, for families far from home.
Το Μαγικό Ράφι started with a simple frustration: as Greek parents living in the Netherlands, we found ourselves buying piles of children's books in our mother tongue — only to outgrow them in a few months, with no easy way to pass them on.
So we decided to build the thing we wished existed: a warm, creative initiative for exchanging Greek children's books in the Netherlands. A magic circle of knowledge, imagination and companionship — guided by a love of reading and the power of community.

Warm & family-first
We're parents too. Every detail of the swap is built around real little people.
Greek at heart
Helping heritage languages stay part of everyday family life — bedtime stories included.
Circular by default
One shared book replaces dozens of one-time purchases. Less waste, more wonder.
Real community
In-person events where families meet, swap tips, and build friendships.
Starting small.
Starting in Utrecht.
For our MVP we're focused on a single event with 15–30 families. We want to learn what works — pricing, age groups, format — before we grow.
If demand is there, we'd love to expand across the Randstad and, eventually, build a small membership shelf with pickup points, wishlists and online curation. But that comes later, with the families who showed up first.
Want to help?
We're looking for venue partners (cafés, community centres, schools), Greek storytellers, and families willing to host future swaps in Amsterdam, Rotterdam or The Hague.
